In the month leading up to the wedding, Madison took over all communication with vendors and made sure there wouldn't be any surprises come the wedding day. This alone was a huge weight lifted in what is often a very chaotic time for couples planning a wedding.

And then came the weekend of our wedding...Madison and David absolutely exceeded any and all expectations. Almost two months later and we are still so incredibly blown away by how smoothly everything went. Because our wedding took place in a remote area near Mt Rainier, my partner and I assumed it would be all hands on deck to set everything up, decorate, and coordinate. But Madison and David assured us that they had everything handled and that we should go enjoy time with each other and our loved ones. I don't think I would have trusted just anyone with our vision, but there was never a moment when I doubted Madison's ability to execute every detail so perfectly.

We are so grateful to Madison and David for giving us such ease and peace on our wedding day. This offered us the ability to root into our original wedding day intentions of cultivating connection, intimacy, and open-hearted presence with each other and with our guests.

My husband and I could not have been happier with our decision to hire Cottrell and Co. to plan our wedding. We were engaged during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and so many details of what our wedding could look like were subject to local regulations as well as the safety and consideration of our guests. Cottrell and Co. was supportive and responsive throughout the entire process of moving from a large wedding to an intimate wedding in July 2021.

What made us confident that our wedding was going to be a success no matter the size was our very first meeting with Madison. We were immediately drawn to her balanced and intentional energy that was a calming force as we changed venue criteria and planned for a variety of scenarios. Madison exceeded our expectations throughout due to her thoughtful questions and recommendations, limitless creativity, extreme attention to detail, and extensive knowledge & expertise of the event and wedding planning space.

This made for an absolutely delightful end-to-end planning experience and the result was an event that perfectly encapsulated us as couple, our story, and the love we have for each other.

Further, Madison’s communication skills are beyond reproach. My husband and I have very different personalities and Madison navigated that territory wonderfully, quickly learning how we each individually like to be talked to and addressing each of our concerns intuitively. She utilized visualization software to address my need to see designs and venue mockups and anticipated my husband’s detailed questions regarding cost and logistics. Madison always promptly followed-up with answers to our questions and kept us on task when we were the ones that needed to provide answers.

In the month leading up to the wedding, Madison took over all communication & coordination with our vendors to ensure there would be no surprises come the wedding day. Having this level of support allowed us to enjoy our time with each other and our loved ones. A program manager by profession, I could not imagine relinquishing this level of control to just anyone. But Madison and David are not just anyone, they are truly experts.

My husband and I recently got married at Chateau Lill in Washington State and thankfully had booked Cottrell and Co as our Month of Planner. Our venue required a day of planner, but what use are those services, really? Let’s all be honest and just admit, you will ABSOLUTELY need and want at the very minimum month of services. If our original wedding (2020 covid bride here) hadn’t lost us over $10,000, I definitely would have loved to be able to work with Madison further as I know we could have made our experience even more fabulous. As it was, we had several virtual meetings (I lived in Dallas initially and then moved to Denver during the planning process) prior to our wedding coordinating ideas and vendors and general event flow concepts. She was so sweet and had the best sense of humor and really made the process fun rather than being the huge stress it had been dealing with all of the covid regulations and changes. When it came to the month before our wedding, she really took the reins and communicated with all of the vendors coordinating each vendors schedule and helping with any questions that came up last minute (always happens lol) and issues that arose.

We had two big complications that occurred the week prior: the first was an issue with our flower order not coming in on time because of the rose shortage and then we ended up having an unexpected rain forecast (literally our whole weeding weekend it rained and it hadn’t the entire month previously). Madison really helped work with us and the florist and coordinate a floral solution that we still ended up loving, and even though we didn’t get our beautiful flowery meadow ceremony of dreams (stupid rain), she was able to turn it around and make the rain plan (under a white tent) turn out beautiful and our guests absolutely did not miss our original plan. We received so many compliments from all of our guests at how beautiful everything had turned out despite the complications! I think having a planner who can really pull it all out when faced with really tough challenges is exactly what every bride needs and deserves, and that is definitely Cottrell and Co.

We got to briefly meet her husband and team the day of and it was so wonderful getting to see how much care and effort they put into making our day the absolute best and exactly what we had dreamed up!

My only downside is that we can’t get married again and have them plan a new wedding for us

Madison was our North Star throughout our wedding planning process, and an absolute rockstar on the day of. We felt like we were in such good hands the entire time, and are so grateful for the creativity, thoughtfulness, and wisdom she brought into the whole process. She was able to answer every question, finalize every detail, and reassure every worry we had. In short, she was able to take our vision and turn it into the wedding of our dreams — far beyond what we had thought was possible. Madison is a true collaborator and we felt heard and valued the entire time.

We are so thankful to her and David for an absolutely seamless (at least to our knowledge, which I guess is the point!) wedding day. Our guests commented on how well the event flowed and felt like a dinner party turned disco — the number one thing wanted, and the tag team absolutely delivered. Madison + David are absolute pros, and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone planning a special event.

Madison and David, founders of Cottrell, were PHENOMENAL as wedding planners. They partnered with us for over a year, gave exceptional advisement, walked us through every detail, and brought together a million little things to make the night exquisite, beautiful and smooth as can be from end to end.

Madison is wonderful to work with., she was responsive, warm, flexible, and punctual throughout the planning process. We hired her as a day of coordinator for our fusion wedding at JM Cellars. Madison came prepared not just on the wedding day but every meeting leading up to the wedding. She and her husband David are incredibly organized and knowledgeable.

Our family appreciated that we were completely hands off on the wedding day. Madison and her team made sure that we had smooth and timely transitions. With COVID, we had to constantly make changes. We used Cottrell and Co for both design and partial planning of our wedding. I am not someone who enjoys event planning, so it was great to have them help me find vendors and get quotes. Our original venue canceled on us only a few months before the wedding and it was so nice to have Madison and David help us find a new venue that was exactly what we were looking for. Our main priority for the wedding was staying in a certain budget, and Madison and David were able to suggest budget friendly options for us (that didn’t involve uninviting important family and friends!!).

We really appreciated working with Madison on the design aspect of the wedding. Everything was way more beautiful and put together than I ever could’ve imagined! When the flowers showed up and the DJ started playing, I was like wow this way better than I hoped for! We also had a Catholic wedding which comes with its own intricacies and traditions, and Madison was great at coordinating with multiple venues to make sure everything was seamless. It was so nice to just be able to have fun on the day of our wedding and really soak up the time with family and friends instead of having to worry about any details. Highly recommend working with Cottrell and Co!

Madison is a life-saver! We hired her as a month-of coordinator for our fall 2021 wedding, but the entire 7-month planning process was made better because of her. She connected with us early so that when we were 30 days out from the wedding, Madison was more than prepared to take charge.
